Mirian Khukhunaishvili appointed Music Director of the Wrocław Opera
Mirian will take up the musical leadership of the Wrocław Opera from the 2025/26 season, alongside his position with the Tbilisi Youth Orchestra.
Mirian Khukhunaishvili has been appointed Music Director of the Wrocław Opera, taking up the post from September 2025 and beginning his tenure with the 2025/26 season.
Speaking at the announcement, he described the appointment as a great honour, setting out his intention to continue the house’s tradition while bringing new ideas to it, supporting young talent and working towards the highest artistic standards.
He continues as co-founder and Music Director of the Tbilisi Youth Orchestra, which under his musical leadership has become one of the leading ensembles of its kind in the region.
